    C. Wyllys Betts authored the definitive book American Colonial History Illustrated by Contemporary Medals, which was published posthumously in (modern reprints exist).   We have spent the last six years working on an update and revision of Betts’ American Colonial History Illustrated by Contemporary Medals, focusing on the early Betts medals issued prior to Author: E-Sylum.

      Much information was retrieved from rare book department oblivion by reprints of key 19th century works, including C. Wyllys Betts’ American Colonial History Illustrated by Contemporary Medals.   Thomas S. Kidd is distinguished professor of history at Baylor University and the author of numerous books, including God of Liberty: A Religious History of the American Revolution and The Great Awakening: The Roots of Evangelical Christianity in Colonial America.. He lives in Waco, Texas.
